Aqua-Tox, Inc. (ATI) is a state-of-the-art, DMR-QA certified,
freshwater bioassay laboratory located in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Over the past 6 years of working with Colorado discharge permit
holders, ATI has perfected an efficient and streamlined whole
effluent toxicity (WET) testing regime. ATI provides the full
freshwater array of acute and chronic bioassays, with all freshwater
testing organisms cultured in-house. Currently, we culture
Ceriodaphnia dubia, Daphnia pulex, Daphnia
magna, Pimephales promelas, and Selenastrum
capicornutum. Aqua-Tox, Inc. follows the most current EPA
methodology for all environmental testing parameters. Each sample
will be analyzed for the two species’ bioassays (acute or chronic),
and the following chemistries will be measured: alkalinity,
ammonia, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, hardness, pH, and total/free
residual chlorine. We have the ability to provide any type of
custom bioassay for any particular client. We can facilitate
to all parameters of toxicant reduction evaluations (TRE) or
toxicant investigation evaluations (TIE) in our temperature
and light controlled laboratories. ATI will work relentlessly
to meet the specific needs of our clients.
Aqua-Tox, Inc. offers you what the other oversized bioassay
labs can’t: the acute and chronic freshwater bioassays that
you need at a cost significantly lower than our competition.
We can do this because we are a highly efficient and specialized
lab. ATI’s 4-person team of biologists/chemists has over 20
years of combined freshwater testing experience. We know exactly
what is needed to provide our clients the best service possible.
ATI is committed to working with industry to keep America’s
waters alive. Our expertise and commitment is clear. Our DMR-QA
30 scores are outstanding and we are ready to customize our
bioassays to fit your particular needs. By eliminating all unnecessary
overhead costs, the quality and efficiency of our new, specialized
laboratories can provide you freshwater bioassays hundreds of
dollars less than the “other guys.”
